The Carrollton Cultural Arts Center in conjunction with Carrollton Main Street, and UWG’s School of the Arts are calling local fine artists of all levels (Students – Professionals) to have ART take over historic Adamson Square. Don’t miss your chance to participate in this wonderful downtown event that happens Thursday, March 30th from 5pm to 8pm. Community and University artists will be featured inside the downtown businesses located on and around Adamson Square, and allowed to sale their work during the event. There will also be Artist displaying works inside the Cultural Arts Center and UWG’s Sculpture department will be hosting a sculpture garden at the AMP on Adamson SQ.
Event Patrons will be guided to the participating locations to see the art and collect a signature from the artist or business owner for entry into a raffle.
Application and Images Due: Friday, March 10th, 2017 by 6:00 p.m.
Notice of Acceptance and Setup Location: Wednesday, March 15, 2017 by e-mail.
Date/Time of Event: Thursday, March 30th from 5pm to 8pm
All work must be original and handmade by the artist.
A minimum of 3 pieces must be submitted for review, and minimum of 4 pieces must be available for the event.
All work must be appropriately presented (Framed, Gallery Wrap, Matted and Sleeved, Wired for hanging, and/or easily displayed).
Work for this exhibition must have been created in the last 3 years.
Artist are required to provide all the materials necessary to setup and display their work. Setup times and display space will be determined in collaboration with the venue that is selected for each artist as part of the jurying process. Contact information for the business owner will be provided upon acceptance for the artist to make the necessary arrangements.
